Arcandia in Levi: what the Park Side ticket includes

Updated October 28, 2026 · 5 min read

Illuminated wooden fantasy structures among snow-covered trees at Arcandia near Levi

Arcandia is not a conventional theme park with a fixed circuit of rides. It is an outdoor fantasy setting in the forest, lit after dark, with small activities spread around the Park Side. That distinction matters: the standard entry ticket is best for visitors who enjoy atmosphere and informal play, not for anyone expecting a full evening of large mechanical attractions.

What is included on the Park Side?

The Arcandia Arctic Fantasy Park Park Side entry provides access to the themed outdoor area. The operator lists activities such as small axe and spear games, slingshots, mini snowmobiles, hill sliding, soft-sword play, swings and reindeer feeding. The exact set can depend on snow, weather, staffing and the evening.

Larger programmes, dinners and shows are separate products rather than automatic parts of the entry ticket. Read the inclusion list at checkout if one particular activity is the reason for your visit. Snacks are sold in the park, while meals require their own advance booking.

The appeal grows after darkness falls. Lights, fire, snow and the old film-set structures create the setting; there is no need to rush from one item to another. Allow time to explore, but remember that this is almost entirely an outdoor visit.

Booking and opening times

Arcandia asks visitors to pre-book because capacity and staffing are limited. Park Side tickets may be sold at the gate only when space remains. The operator also says that entrance normally closes before the park itself, so arriving near the published closing time can leave too little time to enter.

Opening days and hours change several times through the winter. Christmas and early January have a different pattern from late January or March. Check the date-specific schedule on Arcandia’s own information page shortly before booking rather than relying on a general “open in winter” listing.

Getting there from Levi

Arcandia gives its address as Kaakkoisrinteentie 2, about 8.5 kilometres from central Levi. It currently recommends a car, taxi or ride-hailing service and says it does not provide a regular transfer. Free parking is available. Confirm the return journey before entering, particularly late in the evening, rather than assuming a vehicle will be waiting.

This is a case where independent transport genuinely helps, but there is no reason to rent a car solely for one evening. A pre-arranged taxi shared by a family or group is the simpler comparison.

Is Arcandia suitable for children?

The operator describes Park Side activities for toddlers and small children, but children remain under adult supervision. “For all ages” does not mean every activity suits every child. Darkness, unfamiliar figures, cold and loud play can be exciting to one child and overwhelming to another. Families wanting a gentler daytime visit should compare the separate Elf Court programme rather than assume it is included in the evening ticket.

Practical limitations matter. Arcandia says the park is not currently suitable for wheelchairs. Its toilets are outdoor, non-flushing eco-toilets. Pets and food brought from outside are not allowed. These details can determine whether the evening works for your group more than the activity list does.

Who should book it?

Choose Arcandia if you want an unusual, low-structure evening in a snowy fantasy setting and are happy to stay outdoors. It works especially well as a contrast to skiing or a guided safari. Skip it if your priority is indoor warmth, guaranteed rides or step-free access.

Before paying, check the exact opening window, included Park Side activities, weather, child supervision and return transport. The right expectation is an atmospheric forest playground with optional extras, not a Lapland version of a large amusement park.
